Still a lot of jumping to conclusions on there...

Yeah everyone else is saying suspended, they couldn't possibly fire Clarkson... Could they?!?!?

Wow that actually took quite a while to escalate. A 'fracas' has turned into a 'violent altercation' (from the article (I use the term loosely)) 'The end of TOP GEAR, could have been brought on by a punch up between the host Jeremy Clarkson and one of the producers over the fact that there was no food prepared for an all day shoot.'
I'll give it, at this rate, till tomorrow that Jezza stabbed the guy repeatedly and by the weekend he'd of turned renegade and killed everyone that day.
Sensationalism at it's nest.

Oh they could...
But while the headline says fired, the rest of the article says suspended. The BBC hasen't said any more so far, it's just conjecture.

I get that Clarkson has his haters, but it seems that EVERY single thing you read about this incident is just another excuse to recount how many times Top Gear has offended someone, somewhere, somehow.
Okay England, we get it, you don't like Clarkson, and are tired of Top gear. Here's an idea, DON'T WATCH IT!
The rest of the world does happen to like Top Gear very much.
As someone suggested on the FP when the story first appeared, if I were running HBO, I would be frantically negotiating for the rights to this show.
I would personally be fine with paying for HBO in order to watch Top Gear. Hell if I could pay a BBC license and still watch it in the US I would.
